About me Who the f*ckis Alex?

Half Mad Man.
Half Mr. Robot.
Always human.

Hi, I’m Alex Glasneck. An independent strategy director, tech enthusiast and stubborn optimist from Berlin that helps companies to do better marketing in the digital era.

I have 20+ years experience in digital marketing, account management and strategy roles in agencies like AVL, BBDO, DDB, DEPT and Heimat — in permanent positions and as freelancer. And recently founded Furious Studio to work directly with smaller brands looking for new ways of working beyond traditional consultancy models.

By background, I am an expert in wandering between worlds, taking on diverse roles and working as strategy army knife for tasks from brand, communication, digital marketing until innovation.

By nature, I am hands-on and easy to work with. But also allergic to bullshit and ready to pick a fight for my team and things that matter. Sounds like a fit? Let’s chat.

How I work.

Holistic.

No channels, no silos. But big picture thinking, staying tech-neutral, and connecting all relevant dots by default.

Human.

No consultancy bullshit, no jargon. But putting people first, creating real solutions for actual needs, and talking at eye level.

Hands-on.

No ego, no ivory tower. But rolling up the sleeves, taking ownership, and doing what it takes to get things done.

Alone. Augmented.
A-Team on demand.

The Strategy Army Knife

What I believe in.

Clarity × Curiosity × Rock’n’Roll

Most problems, in life as in marketing, come down to the same three things: complexity, ignorance and conformity.

To solve them, we need to aim for the exact opposite of each of them.

Clarity, because the world has plenty of noise and far too few clear decisions.

Curiosity, because the best answers hide where nobody bothered to look.

Courage, or at least a pinch of rock’n’roll, because progress that plays it safe rarely gets anywhere worth going. Also, life is too short for boring work.

That’s the recipe. Here’s what it looks like in practice: ten beliefs, learned the hard way.

N°01The world is a beautiful mess.

Markets shift overnight. Briefs contradict themselves. Teams drown in tools that were supposed to save them time. Most people answer the chaos by adding more: more meetings, more content, more noise. I’d rather start by making sense of it.

N°02Clarity is an act of courage.

Anyone can make things complicated. Making them simple means deciding what matters and letting the rest go. That’s strategy to me: the art of finding the one problem worth solving, and saying it so clearly that nobody can misunderstand it.

N°03Clarity creates momentum.

Once people know where they’re going, something shifts. Meetings get shorter. Decisions get braver. Energy stops leaking into a hundred side quests and starts pushing in one direction. That moment, when a stuck team starts moving, is the one I’m addicted to.

N°04Stories × technology move the world.

Stories make people care. Technology makes things possible. Every real leap in how we live, work and talk to each other happened where the two met. The digital revolution is the biggest of those moments yet, and we’ve barely started.

N°05Tech for tech’s sake is a toy.

So is advertising that mostly applauds itself. Shiny tools still looking for a problem. New channels, old mistakes. AI busy producing more of the same, just faster. The world has enough noise. What it lacks are things that work.

N°06Think like a hacker.

See how the system really works. Find the weak spot, the shortcut, the lever nobody bothered to pull. Then fix it, even if the fix comes through the side door. Rules are useful. Results are better.

N°07Make the underdogs win.

Giants have budgets, history and the comfort of being big. Underdogs have their wits, their nerve and nothing to lose. I’ve always been on the side of the second kind. Helping them out-think the giants instead of out-spending them is my favourite sport: finding the angle the big player is too slow or too proud to take. Most of the best stories start with someone who wasn’t supposed to win.

N°08Progress should be beautiful.

Useful is the minimum. The things that last also feel right: simple, elegant, a little surprising. Beauty is what a solution looks like when somebody cared enough to finish it properly.

N°09Make things that matter.

Progress has to earn its name. Give someone back an hour. Make work feel meaningful again. Make a business stronger and a life a little better. If nobody would miss it tomorrow, it wasn’t worth building today.

N°10Hope is a strategy.

The cynics have had their turn. Optimism after a hard look at the facts is the most useful thing anyone can bring into a room. Fear makes people freeze. A clear way forward gets them moving. The future gets built by somebody. It might as well be the people who care.
